Herbs to control diabetes



We have discussed this in many articles that diabetes is not curable, but can be managed or controlled. Diabetes can be treated with numerous ways such as dietary therapy, insulin therapy, medications, and alternative medicines. Alternative medicines are the best way to control the imbalanced level of sugar. Numerous herbs are used to balance sugar level in the blood stream.

The herbs that are effective in controlling diabetes are as follows:
Bitter melon:

Bitter melon is recommended as the best herb to balance the sugar level. Intake of this herb helps the cells to utilize glucose more effectively. It also clogs the absorption of sugar in the intestine. Bitter melon is available in different forms. It can be consumed in the form of capsules, dried powder, or fresh vegetable. Excessive consumption of this vegetable cum herbs can lead to gastrointestinal disorders. Mix one tablespoonful of bitter melon powder to warm water, drink this mixture two times in a day. This will balance your sugar levels in the blood stream.

Fenugreek:

Highly valued in Indian traditional medicines, fenugreek seeds are the best herb to control sugar level. These seeds are highly effective in the treatment of diabetes. You may soak some fenugreek seeds in water for overnight. Eat these seeds every morning for better results. Boil some fenugreek seeds in water and drain the mixture. Drink this tea for two times throughout the day. Consult your physician before consuming fenugreek seeds. Some people are allergic to these seeds.

Ginseng:

Ginseng is widely known for its immune-boosting properties. The intake of this herb also fights against various disorders. Ginseng is a Chinese herb that lowers down the absorption of carbohydrate. The intake of this herb also improves the cell’s ability to utilize glucose. It also increases the secretion of insulin through pancreas. Ginseng can also be consumed in various forms such as powder of dried ginseng, ginseng herbal tea, or ginseng capsules. This herb helps to lower down the blood glucose.

Bilberry:

Bilberry is the richest source of antioxidants, which helps to remove all toxic substance from the body. These antioxidant agents also improve the immune system. The intake of this herb prevents the damage to tiny blood vessels. The damage to blood vessels can damage the retina and lead to pain in nerve. Proper consumption of this herb also lowers down the level of sugar in blood stream.
